EA is testing its own cloud gaming service

1 min read

Cloud gaming services have been a part of our lives for quite some time, and yet they have not had such huge successes, but Google Stadia is already catching on. The search engine giant is the first company to have a worldwide infrastructure to really operate such a structure.

However, the concept is being researched by major publishers, including EA, which has previously talked about Project Atlas. This would be the company’s own cloud gaming service, and if they are able to build a workable system, they still have something to look for in the market, as EA can offer its own games exclusively on this platform.

Of course, this is still a long way off, so for now, we should make sure that the existing system works and EA has announced a test of the service, which can be experienced with four games so far: FIFA 19, Titanfall 2, Need for Speed Rivals and Unravel.

There is no information as to when the service will actually be available, it will probably depend on test results, but EA is expected to report on the current state of development.
