Are mechanical keyboards better?

2 min read

As Christmas approaches, more and more people are thinking about expanding their gamer arsenal and often focus on the keyboard. Many target direct-to-mechanical keyboards, which is understandable, as marketing machines have worked very hard lately and mechanical keyboards are spreading very hard.

In the ’80s, the IBM Model M began its conquest campaign, with great success. Of course, it worked with early spring technology and it is a bit different to type with the current Cherry, but the technology is the same. Even today, we can still see Model M or one of its taps, which shows how much more durable it is than their membrane counterparts.

If you spend a lot of time in front of your computer and type frequently, so you use the keyboard a lot, then I think it’s worth investing more, because it lasts a lot longer.  First of all, I would recommend scissor keyboards, they do not have to be replaced every few years because they wear out. If you are not bothered by the lack of a warranty, Chinese mechanical keyboards may be a good choice, only with the risk factor, and of course we do not get the best switches, but for this price, we can not wait.

There are some hardcore gamers who use macros to save time on a daily basis, but do not really need it for general work or some play. Especially for RPGs and strategy games, this feature is an advantage, but we also have to consider that the special macro buttons will have a completely different keyboard layout.

Visit our store and find yourself a decent gamer keyboard that will help you improve your gaming skills.
