Kaspersky supports the National Cyber Security Professional Awareness Week to build a stronger cyber security workforce

Kaspersky North America announces its support for National Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week, organized from November 9 to 14 by the National Cybersecurity Education Initiative, led by the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Kaspersky joins the mission to raise awareness of cybersecurity opportunities and promote greater diversity in the industry workforce.

CyberSeek says there are currently more than 300,000 cybersecurity jobs open and the national cybersecurity workforce is expected to reach 1.8 million qualified individuals by 2022. Studies have also shown that the cybersecurity industry is dominated by men, with only 24% of the workforce made up of women. This includes a partnership with influencer @CodingBlonde, who is hosting a live AMA session with senior researchers from Kaspersky’s global research and analysis team, as well as daily videos from staff discussing their personal experiences with the industry.
