Edifier W820BT Wireless Headset Review

2 min read

We are looking for something much cheaper, especially the EDIFIER W820BT Bluetooth Headphones. It only costs $65.69 at bzfuture.com.

Unboxing
With a new but affordable price for the Edifier W820BT, we expected the Edifier to reduce costs where it felt good. If we only look at the box itself, we know that the manufacturer is already reducing the cost of its packaging. and the packaging consists of the envelope and the cradle itself.

On the back of the cover, we see some functional highlights in several different languages. The contents of the box are also listed here.

If you remove the bag, you will see the Edifier W820BT and a small compartment below. You will find all the other content there.

Once everything is out, we have the user manual, a micro USB charging cable and also a 3.5mm audio jack.

Features
In terms of build quality, the Edifier W820BT is surprisingly better than its predecessor. It feels less plastic, although it is plastic anyway, and there is also more metal.

The headphones are thick and surrounded by a sufficient thickness of PU leather. However, the diameter of the headphones may be a bit small for the headphones.

There is also a rather thick pillow wrapped in PU leather for the headband. Nothing bad. The adjustable headband is now also made of metal and is also graduated. This means that I can know the size of the headband every time I use it.

Compared to its predecessor, the Edifier W820BT can now even fold the headphones, which makes it very easy to store them. However, I fear that PU leather will be damaged. Any cut or break will be the end of your life.

Most connections are in the right headset. We have the LED indicator, the power switch, the volume control, the micro USB charging port and a microphone.

The 3.5mm audio jack is on the left.

Testing
The helmet itself is not that bad. The connection of the Edifier W820BT is also standard. Simply press and hold the power button until the indicator light flashes rapidly and pairing mode is activated.

When I heard the first part of my usual songs, I realized that the frequency response was not particularly good. It focuses more on the bass, but does not offer a rhythm that not everyone plans to distort, but the bass is not powerful.

Then comes the song that mixes at low frequency. The midrange is a bit in order and the treble doesn’t shine. Although I think electronic music is pretty decent.

When connected to Bluetooth, the Edifier W820BT has a significant audio delay, approximately 0.5 seconds. Of course, this means that the Edifier W820BT is not ideal for mobile games that require quick action.

Conclusion
Overall, on the basis of such a cheap price, with such good quality, EDIFIER W820BT Bluetooth Headphones is still worth having.
